Hillary vs. Grand Theft Auto

Johnson finds many things wrong with Hillary's arguments for controlling video games. One of Johnson's first main arguments is that Clinton is overlooking some of teh real-life dangerous acts of violence, like football. Kids are constantly fighting, betting and doing other things with football that is more harmful to them than any video game. Video games are like a safe haven for many kids, they can express their anger in a non-violent way that does not hurt anyone else but a character in a video game. Video games actually stimulate hand eye coordination, help kids with memorizing, and allow them to be in charge of things that they do. For example, they have to do a lot of memorization of codes for certain moves and learning how to set up their own plays. Video games are beneficial to kids, with the exception of the lack of exercise. However, like Johnson points out, homework does not help with the obesity and lack of exercise problem either.

I like the point that you stated that video games provide a safe-haven for kids to unleash their anger without harming anyone. I like the point Johnson made that during the last five years of video games, children have been doing much better academically since the study started in 1971. I think Johnson does a great job of defending the idea that all video games do not need to be censored completely, they just need to be rated properly.
