I found his way of saying how a slave is not a human to be very interesting and very good. He makes the other side, put them in his shoes as best as he can. He tries to make you feel like what a former slave might feel on the 4th of July. Its a day that can actually cause pain instead of normally the joy we feel. I thought it was a very effective way to make his point
