Marine Corps

I think that the creators of this site wanted to portray the glamorous side of joining the Marines and the benefits that you will receive by joining. They are avoiding the dirtier details of the fighting aspects of the job because they don't want to scare people away from joining. They choose to only show the positive things about the Marines in hopes that more young adults will join.

I agree that the creators only wanted people to see the benefits of joining the site. They avoided all details that would scare people away which is a bad idea because people ought to know what they are getting themselves into not just the positives of what may happen if you join.

I completely agree with what you say. They list so many benefits and perks to joining, but all they do is say that it is challenging. They dont go into any further details, which is sort of blindsighting the reader. At the same time, though, it is stating it right away, so anyone who isn't up for a real challenge shouldn't continue reading.
