Recruitment

They focus on the challenging aspect of it so that anyone interested in joining any fighting force will see that the Marines are not for just anyone. They want to make sure that anyone who signs up knows that it is more challenging than the other fighting forces like the Army, for example, and because of this, they will surely have success in their future if they join. They want tough people who are really serious about joining to join, and are saying that the Marines are not for quitters.

I disagree. I do not think the web site is trying to tell people that it is not for everyone. It is just saying that it is challenging for the fact that it will be something anyone could do, and no one can ever take that away from them. I did not think they were trying to get the point out that the Marines will make someone more successful than the Army would. They do want tough people, at least someone to make it through the boot camp. This is how they become successful though.
